dc.descriptionIn this work it is shown the way the myth of the patriot heroe is revealed, on one side, the stereotype of tradition and national identity, and the type of a particularman, with the individual and collective qualities known to the national soul. This task will be implemented by de Colombian Academy of History, with the national government during the period from 1910 to 1970 with the intention of masification and an autonomous and perdurable life. Among all patriots, one stands out because gave shape and life to the Colombian nationality, the General Francisco de Paula Santander. As a great man, the General Santander embodies the ideals of a liberal and rational State and, according to the tradition of some conservative branches, he was the one who carried out the laic, Jacobin and anti-Catholic traditions. As it is noticed, this character was not denied to debate from the different political models of nation building from both parties, and the conception of national “people” that each one had.en-US
dc.descriptionEn este trabajo se muestra la forma como se revela el mito del héroe patriota, el estereotipo de la tradición y la identidad nacional, por un lado, y el arquetipo de un hombre particular, con las cualidades individuales y colectivas propias del alma nacional. Esta tarea sería implementada por la Academia Colombiana de Historia, la cual, junto con el gobierno nacional durante el periodo 1910-1970, se dio a la tarea de masificarlo y darle una vida autónoma y perdurable. Entre todos los patriotas, sobresale uno que le dio fisonomía y vida a la nacionalidad colombiana, el general Francisco de Paula Santander. Como gran hombre, el general Santander encarna los ideales de un Estado liberal y racional y es, según la tradición de algunos conservadores ultramontanos, el adalid de las generaciones laicas, jacobinas y anticatólicas. Como se nota, este personaje no fue ajeno al debate de los distintos modelos políticos sobre construir nación por parte de los dos partidos, más la concepción del "pueblo" nacional que tenía cada uno de ellos.es-ES
