In some of these, the elites affirmed that their regions had been pasted by historical facts of equal or grater importance that of the 7 of September (1822); for that reason, the place of brazilian nacionality also would be in these regions.en-US
dc.descriptionEn el presente artículo examinamos cómo la conmemoración del Primer Centenario de la Independencia del Brasil, en 1922, suscitó una ardiente disputa por la definición de la fecha fundadora de la nacionalidad, manifestada en la prensa de varios estados brasileños. En algunos de éstos, las elites afirmaban que sus regiones habían pasado por hechos históricos de igual o mayor importancia que aquél del 7 de septiembre (de 1822); por eso, el lugar de la nacionalidad brasileña también se encontraría en estas regiones.es-ES
